2015 Time for Change

When 2015 was approaching, it was time to evaluate my personal life and business goals and determine what is important and what can be changed for the better. As a well known psychologist and television personality has stated, “life isn’t a dress rehearsal”. We all know our time spent cannot be refunded. This is why we need to focus on creating an environment that feeds our mind and we need to nurture our bodies through good nutrition and exercise, all of which are essential towards the goal of living a purpose filled life. Philosophically, this seems like common sense, however, in reality, it is easy to lose perspective in regards to what is really important.

Insightful Makeover

As 2014 was coming to an end, it was time to make changes that would inspire creativity. My best creative time starts around 4:30AM. I needed to design an environment that works for an early riser. After much thought, I decided to streamline the virtual business and cease renting an external office.

The first step was to move the graphic design business online. Secondly, I will continue posting helpful art information online. Thirdly, I am no longer teaching classes in local venues. Fourthly, I will continue to use virtual services when I need assistance with business chores. Ninety percent of my business is conducted online and moving all business activity online allows me the time and energy to live a creative, productive and organized life in an environment that is happy, healthy and focused. My 2015 goals are to stay focused on creating a new body of art work and write and share information about art that can be used by future generations.

As Jonathan Groff stated, “make sure that you always follow your heart and your gut, and let yourself be who you want to be, and who you know you are. And don't let anyone steal your joy.” From this time forward I plan to follow my heart and remove the parts and pieces that steal my joy and am looking forward to a fresh approach to life in 2015.
